More Bearers of Bad News

Necromancy's just another word for nothing left to lose.

On Monday, we showed you Orseg, one of the new Thunderstone Bearers in Thunderstone Advance: Towers of Ruin. Today in Reveal Cards, we’re going to show you the other two in the set, Stramst and Belac.

Necromancy’s just another word for nothing left to lose.

Stramst is a necromancer. In the fantasy literature canon, that’s generally considered bad. But in Tala, where reincarnation is standard issue, necromancy pulls you out of the reincarnation cycle. It doesn’t just reanimate your corpse, it kills everyone you were ever going to be. That makes Stramst Public Enemy Number 0.

In play, Stramst does not move until every monster he can find has had a shot. Sending monsters to the bottom of the dungeon deck only gives him fresh ammunition. You might be in for a shorter slog though, if you bring the right kind of heroes.

War isn’t hell. I am.

Belac looks like a skinny guy, but don’t be fooled. He’s very good at getting his soldiers to follow orders. Before receiving a Thunderstone from Doom, he was a high officer in the guard at Dun Ordha. No one knows what he was promised, but everyone knows what he’s delivered — regimented humanoid monsters who destroy whatever’s in front of them.

In play, Belac is hard to game. However you arrange your heroes, he takes your best one, and adds its Attack Value to his Health. You can’t just discard any old Regular and expect that to appease him.

Check back Monday for more news on Thunderstone Advance, and next week for more card spoilers!
